If it is not yours, don't touch it, EVER! This includes pots, tools, glazes, supplies, etc.
Your workspace must be cleaned and all your supplies put away before you leave the studio. This includes work surfaces, wheels, tools, equipment, towels, floor, etc.
Music is a personal choice, plan on using headphones to play your music while you work. If the studio is playing music, you have the right to request that it is turned off while you are there.
Phones: Clay will ruin your phone. If you must access your phone in-studio, bring a plastic sandwich bag to protect it.
Jewelry: Clay may loosen or damage set stones. Your bling may also leave scars in your work. We suggest removing your jewelry in the studio.
Access to the kiln area is limited to staff only.
We are an alcohol and drug free studio. We reserve the right to ask you to leave the studio if you are disruptive or appear to be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
Scholarships and In-Kind Exchange
OHP may occasionally have scholarships and/or in-kind exchanges available for membership, classes, or workshops for individuals who otherwise would not have the opportunity to participate in OHP activities.
These are evaluated on a case by case basis, are not guaranteed to be available, and are offered entirely at the discretion of the owners.
OHP reserves the right to bar, temporarily or permanently, any individual from use or access to the studio if that individual violates studio policies.
OHP reserves the right to cancel membership if the member violates studio policies. In the event that OHP cancels a membership, the member will be refunded that month’s membership fee plus any prepaid membership fees.
OHP may occasionally open its studio for special events in support of local non-profit organizations. We encourage our members and students to volunteer and assist if they are able. Look for notices of upcoming events.
